New MIP Panels & Buttons

Hello All, since I was not satisfied of some panels made by me on MIP, I decided to order more professionnel products from http://www.cockpitsimparts.co.uk . The prices are reasonable from this supplier. I think they will be arrived till this weekend and I will mount them asap.
The photos will be shared on my construction pages...
Update from 12/12/2013:
The pieces have arrived yesterday and I must say that all are very  well finished. The buttons as well. I was decided to change my flaps & landing gear panel. "cockpitsimparts" really did a good job. The paint and the color of the panels are similar to original boing blue. I will share the detailed photos of the pieces and I hope I can mount them on MIP tomorrow. Please follow on my construction page...

Here are some pics after mounted on MIP. More detailed ones will be shared later.

Panels on MIP

Hi again, I almost finished my configuration about the electronic panels such as MFD, PFD, EICAS...
I tried to adapt the "flyawaysimulation 737 freeware panels" solution and really satisfied. The package is complete and can be customized according to the structure of the MIP. The only negative point is not being able to make it work in HD mode.Maximum is 1024x738. But I can assure that it works really stable, any crash during my flights, and more important, it shows all the values correctly.
Please find more photos and the link to download on my construction or reference pages.
See you soon...

MIP MOUNTING

Almost finished the MIP work. I worked on switch&button panels on the MIP. I didn't get the boing type buttons yet, but here is how it looks at the end.

I shared other detailed photos on my construction page. And I will give some details about the panel construction and lightning. It has not so professional look since I don't want to spend more money on those panels. But at least it seems they will all be functionnal at the end.

Gauges

I worked on the gauges and finally I completed the ones on the MIP. Using very simple materials like cartoon, plexi & drawing pin I made imitations of the real ones since I don't want to spend ~250€ for each. Please see the pics about it below;

Captain Seat

I already finished coating the seat of the captain side. I searched about the exact height of the seat seal but i couldn't see a defined value on internet. Someone was talking about 45-50 cm from the floor and I mount it on a box having 50 cm. And regarding the eyepoint vérification it seems it is correct for my size. The mount details are seen on my construction pages, here I shared one pic of the last status of the seat.

Two Years...

Hi everybody,
Yes, on 17th. of March, two years passed since the begginning of this blog. At the beginning I had read the others as they were telling about the construction completed in two years, I thought that it was a long time and may be I could do better. But I see that in the parallel of our daily lifes with two children, a dog and many other exhaustive issues, two years construction time is really a minimum. I can advise to all who wants to begin this type of work, put at least two years to complete your project and be patient.
Mine is not finished yet, I have still half of it to complete. But at least I can see the result of my work at the end and happy about it from now on.
Take care and as the french says "bon courage" to all.

Lightening the MCP & EFIS

I decided to put backlight on my MCP & fake EFIS on the first officer site. For this, I use flexible light stripes. For my MCP I follow the instructions from the file of David J. Bullock in which the steps are described very well. Here is the link of the file to be downladed:
opencockpitsmcpbacklighting

For my fake EFIS, using a real size photo I put the flexible light strips on the box in the same way and scotch the photo onto the leds.
You may see the details in my construction pages.

Stand Up !

My MIP unit seems a bit realistic now. Eventhough it is still a prototype and not finalized, It is going on as I expected. This photo shows the last state of the construction. The right side EFIS is not real. I took a pic from the left one and put it on the right side to complete the unit. For anyone of you who wants to do in the same way may download the realsize EFIS unit photo  from my construction page.
The glareshield is not finished. I am busy about preparing the front left and right sides of glareshield.

It is flying...

Hi All,
The MCP+EFIS from opencockpits arrived just in time on last Friday. Since it was snowing all day long and we reached the weekend, I had enough time to install it. After having an exhausted search on internet for the resources of SIOC, FUSIPC and other related components I managed to connect my FSX in success.
I will give a detailed description about the installation & configuration on my construction page later.
And I have to work on it for my X-Plane as well. Please watch a small demo of MCP working on my construction page.
Here are some photos of the package and the equipments from opencockpits.

Today, I jumped in a website which shows all flights around the world on realtime basis. It was really genial for me to discover all the trafic in skies. Here is how they all are seen like;

MIP comes out

Hi All, after working hard the last weekend, I finished the basic support of MIP and fixed the monitors on it.
It is not so solid like the others did, but since I have not much space in my room I did it in a way easily mountable and dismontable. But I could fix all the pieces pratically. Please see more photos from this part in my construction page.

MCP + EFIS

Hi Everybody,

Hoping you an happy New Year with all the best, I am planning to speed up in my project.
As I found some more cash, I invested on my MCP & EFIS modules which are vitals for this project.
I ordered them from opencockpits.com having a good price as a Christmas Pack.
This weekend, hoping to start MIP panels I will share first pictures of this implementation.
